“I tried yoga for the first time before graduating college in 2010. I fell in love with the physical movement of the practice because it solidified my dance and gymnastics background. During my first few years of practice, I only took traditional hot yoga classes. At that time in my life, I was looking for something to guide me away from an addictive lifestyle I was currently spiraling down. The traditional hot yoga classes gave me structure, routine, and the confidence I needed to move towards a healthier lifestyle. In fact, I never felt or heard myself breathe until I began practicing yoga! As I continued to practice, I got to know myself on a completely different psychological and emotional level. It was difficult and uncomfortable, but at the same time, I found something attributing to inner peace. Through my nine years of practice, I have met incredible people from all walks of life and have found a place of comfort, love, and compassion in yoga studios. As a student first, and teacher second, I will continue to educate and share my passion for yoga and meditation because they’ve both helped me unearth self love.”
