JULIE WEISS
In 2019, my life was changed when I walked into Gaia Flow Yoga. Before then, yoga was more of a physical workout, along with running and HIIT training, with no true feeling of connection. After a difficult year, my focus shifted to other exercises and my body reacted with incredibly tight shoulders and hips. I decided yoga would be the best way to strengthen, stretch and heal my body. The sense of community and a newfound awareness of the spiritual side of yoga really surprised me after my class. Over time, my appreciation of the studio deepened and coming to class felt like home. My body loosened up and I felt more relaxed than I had in years! I want to share my experience with others and decided to embark on teacher training. My 200 Hour training was completed in November 2020.
The active postures in yoga have always been fun for me. I wobble, stumble out of poses, smile, laugh at myself and try again. The playful side of yoga makes me feel like a kid again. My mission for teaching is to bring a feeling of joy and light heartedness to every one of my students. If you leave my class feeling like your soul has been nourished and with light in your heart, then my hopes, as your instructor, have been fulfilled. I look forward to learning from my students and growing together as yogis.
See you soon!
