I believe that we have a duty and responsibility to not settle for anything less than what our soul needs and yearns for. That all of the answers are within us and not around us. That if we get really still and listen to our inner self, intuitively we have the answers. I believe that Yoga finds us, and it found me in one of the darkest moments of my life. Yoga was that one illuminating candle in the midst of complete darkness, and it changed my entire world. What I discovered was that Yoga was not just a physical practice, but that each asana (posture) was another step inward. The more I practiced, the deeper I connected to me, and not the me I thought the world needed me to be, but the most authentic version of who I truly am. Each time I showed up onto my mat something magical happened, and over time all of these layers I had built up around me as protection from everything, slowly started to come down. It was through Yoga that I discovered who I was for the first time in my entire life. Yoga brought truth and liberation to my life. It has taught me that I am exactly where I need to be and that everything (and I mean everything) has purpose. Life is this constant dance of effort and ease, it ebbs and it flows and although we cannot control anything that happens around us, we can control ourselves and how we respond. Everything in our life is connected, and everything is temporary.
The word Yoga means ‘to yolk’ or ‘to unite’, to really unite our mind, body and our soul. It allows us to live completely connected. It allows me to live completely connected and I would love nothing more than to be a guide for you on your path home. On your path to healing, wellness, and connection to self. I look forward to see you on the mat!
With all my love and all my light, Namaste
