CHELSEA GRIFFIN
My yoga journey began in October of 2019 at Gaia Flow Yoga, where I had my first practice. Yoga found me during a rough and challenging time in my life, when I was searching for relief from the daily anxiety I experienced as a result of a horrible car accident. It was at a time that I felt very disconnected from myself both physically and mentally. I have always been interested in what I perceived as being “healthy” and in shape, but always for the physical benefits and never really understanding the mental health benefits. I was previously at a job I once loved but was growing out of, and over time began to feel lost and unfulfilled. I realized I was seeking a deeper connection to something and also wanting to be able to give back in some way. From the first day I stepped on the mat, I was hooked and I knew this was something I didn’t want to be without. Leaving the studio gave me that sense of peace and calmness that I had never really felt before. It taught how to slow down, live in the present moment, and reconnect to my breath (which subsided my anxiety by 90 percent) ultimately changing my life.Yoga is my forever medicine. Within the first year of consistent practices I experienced such dramatic growth, mentally, spiritually and physically that I knew this was something I had to share with others .I teach because I love my students and I know, through my own experience, how impactful yoga can be on ones soul. I believe in some way, we are all looking to find the peace and calmness within our lives. Yoga gives us that opportunity in a beautiful, challenging, and exciting way, allowing us to connect to ourselves on a deeper level and leading us to a place of self discovery. I can’t wait to see you on your mat!
Always a student, sometimes a teacher.
Namaste 🙂 Chelsea
