I have been an athlete my entire life and always loved the feeling provided by intense physical exercise. I ran cross country and track and field in college, but after several stress fractures from years of competitive running, I came to terms with the fact that running would no longer work as my outlet.
At the advice of my doctor, I started experimenting with different types of yoga. But, I did not fall in love with the practice until I moved to Dallas in June of 2012. When I moved here, I decided to give yoga another try in the hope that I would find a community of people with similar interests. Gaia Flow immediately welcomed me with open arms, loving hearts and passionate individuals who accepted me exactly where I was in my yoga journey. I knew that I could learn and grow in this studio. Yoga became my outlet. The instructors, the practice and the love-based philosophy at Gaia Flow had me hooked. Before long, I let go of doubt and realized the potential I had when I trusted my body and mind. Yoga is not just a physical practice; it takes dedication, discipline, love and the willingness to let go. Not only did Gaia Flow provide a safe and nurturing environment where I could challenge myself, but I also made lifelong friends. I invite you to unfold your yoga mat to unfold your life. You have more potential than you realize. I hope to see you on the mat soon! Namaste.
