Becoming a yogi has truly been transforming for me! Growing up and in my 20’s, I was always involved in sports. I played on the basketball, volleyball, and soccer teams in high school, also competing in track and cross- country. In my twenties, I took up long distance running and really enjoyed it until I started to experience the typical aches and pains of marathon running. That being said, health and fitness has always been a part of life for me. I see the importance of staying active and fit but yoga has showed me that there is so much more to taking care of ourselves. As a yogi, not only do you take care of your body physically but also spiritually and mentally as well. You are surrounded by such amazing, loving yogis and it definitely energizes you.
I am now in the best shape of my life and have more energy and feel more grounded than I ever have. I have noticed that, since beginning yoga, I have muscles I forgot I had! I look forward to continuing my yoga journey, transforming my life, and in turn, helping and teaching others along the way.
